Hardware Requirements

The 123D Simulation & Visualization software is designed for desktop systems. The rapid development of fast processors for both PC's and Workstation's, has made it possible to target a desktop system for this 3D - multi-component - 5 phase flow model.

The minimum requirements for the PC are a 4 core 3.2 GHz hyper threading processor with 32 GB RAM and 64 GB free disc space. However it is recommended to acquire the newest and fastest PC hardware available. Currently the estimate of used RAM for a 3D simulation is slightly less than 30 kb per grid-cell and 2500 my-sec per grid-cell-computation (cs) for a 1 processor 1 GHz (PS). The TimeFactor is 65 my-sec/cs*PS for a 16 processor 2.4 GHz processor system.

The application runs under Windows 10 64-Bit operating system.
